Gotta catch ’em all!

It’s been a while in between drinks for Byron Bay electronic powerhouse Tora. The group have clearly not been sitting on their hands however, with today’s release – their first official single since in over two years – evidence that they have not lost their touch.

‘Jigglypuff’ is an immersive tune that rewards on repeat listens, revealing layers and textures each time you press play on it. There’s a dizzying middle section with panning synths that create a kind of warbling, nearly disorienting effect which masterfully matches the lyrical content of the song.

As the band explain, the track is about the limbo stage of a relationship. “‘Jigglypuff’ is about opening up to someone, letting them know that you are scared but ready to take a leap together”.
