McDonald’s is definitely undergoing significant change in 2020, announcing various additions to its menu as well as introducing new moves that encompass food, fashion and community. Now, in their dopest move yet, McDonald’s are linking up with hip hop titan Travis Scott for the ‘Travis Scott Meal’, the first time they’ve featured a public figure on the menu since Michael Jordan in 1992.
The meal will feature the Quarter Pounder (with cheese, bacon and lettuce) along with BBQ dipping sauce and a sprite, in what is Travis’ favourite meal. Speaking on the collab, La flame said “I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life. We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have in store.”
The campaign will run from September 8 to October 4 and will see the Scott and Maccas seeking ways to explore opportunities to support charitable organisations. The collab will also see Scott design custom apparel for Maccas crew members (who else is very tempted to rejoin the local Maccas they worked at when they were 14?) as well as additional collabs set to be revealed soon.
It’s pretty dope, check out the pair’s announcements of the collab below.
