Travis Scott continues to be a man of many talents. Whether it be rapping, producing, fashion or gaming, the man has got his hands in many projects. But now it appears he’s dipping his toes into the film business, locking in a production deal with none other than A24.
If you’re not familiar, A24 has churned out some pretty solid films in the past couple of years, their fingerprints all over the likes of Lady Bird, Midsommar and 2017 Oscar winner Moonlight.
Now, imagine that calibre of creativity on the big screen mixed with the sounds of Travis Scott, or more specifically, his long-awaited upcoming album Utopia, which is expected to drop later this year.
The rapper shared a teaser of the collab on Instagram with a shot of the first draft of the script, with the word ‘Utopia’ blacked out (you’re not fooling us though La Flame). Fittingly, he captioned the post “Life is a movie. So is this album.”

The announcement follows the premiere of Scott’s latest single ‘Escape Plan’ at Rolling Loud earlier this year. Just going off this bad boy, if Utopia is anything close to this sort of vibe, Travis might well be on his way to topping his 2018 record Astroworld.
Listen to ‘Escape Plan’ below, and if you’re not already familiar, check out the trailer for A24’s Oscar winning film Moonlight and start imagining what a collab between the studio and Travis Scott would look like.
