The inner west crew bring together rappers from all across the country for the new release…

And of course, the genre-bending outfit are continuing to push the limits of their sound for their first release of 2022, this time sampling the iconic ice cream truck song for a banger about the fun that comes with being a rapper in the Aussie music scene.

Aside from that hard AF ice cream song sample (a sentence I never thought I’d write) the boys go all the way in on the lyrical front, fiery bars and frenetic wordplay exploding in bars like “Silly sausage better bow down/and salute the general as soon as possible.” It’s not only the Triple One boys kicking off on the track though, the crew pulling together a range of MCs from across the country including Nerve, Mulalo, Cult Shotta and Lil Golo. Naturally, all of the above hold their own with ease, trading shots as if they’re in a XXL Freshman Freestyle, all rapping with their unique brands of rhythmic precision.

The accompanying visuals are as equally asa high octane as the sonics, the crew rapping around a classic ice cream truck as they each take turns in the spotlight. Naturally, mayhem ensures, and I’m gonna be real with you, if I was the owner of that ice cream truck I’d be beyond pissed.

Regardless, it’s a total banger. Be sure to buy/stream ‘Mr. Whippy’ here and check out the full video below.
