Since the runaway success of his breakout single ‘Late Nights’ in 2017, things haven’t slowed down for Brisbane artist Carmouflage Rose. He’s just released his debut Taste EP last Friday, and his concise catalogue is already packed with hits that fuse hip-hop, dancehall and R&B. ‘Let Me Down’ – a slow twirl featuring some masterful touches from George Maple – has already reached #1 on triple j’s Most Played list, and received a live rendition in the triple j studios during the former’s Like A Version visit.
Now, ‘Let Me Down’ has a video to boot; featuring smoke and mirrors, booze and Louis Vuitton monogram swimwear. “This clip was a fun one to make because it is so visually stimulating, and thats something I aim for in all my work but don’t always get the opportunity to create,” director Rory Pippan says. “I feel my style as a director translated well to Carmouflage’s music, so it was a natural collaboration between us, and one I’m quite proud to see released into the world.”
You can watch ‘Let Me Down’ below, where you’ll also find the dates and details for his ‘Taste’ tour travelling across the country this month and throughout November. Carmouflage Rose will be joined on all dates by CXLOE, Midas.Gold and Xavier Mayne, so grab your tickets right here:
