The Sydney-based singer-songwriter will hit you right in the heart.

With his latest single ‘Love Is Everywhere We Go’ having garnered thousands of Spotify streams, spins on triple j, and a small book’s worth of rave reviews, it seemed only a matter of time before crooner Dominic Breen would return with a clip for the heartfelt track. Today, he’s dropped a fittingly washed-out accompaniment suits the dreamy tune to a tee.

Shot on Super 8 film, the video nicely captures backyard Australiana and a summer night in the city in a way that feels as if it was shot over one day with one camera, though as Dominic says, it was more of a collaborative process. “The video was shot in part by Josh Simpson and Nick Langley. Nick plays bass in the song and did the finishing touches on the edit. We had a nice night just walking around the city and what you see in the clip is what we saw that night.”

Having demonstrated such a knack for encapsulating the optimistic sentiments of youth in a sugary, but ultimately quite nuanced fashion, it’s hard to imagine someone like Dominic Breen playing small venues around Sydney much longer. He’s supporting Carla Geneve at Waywards on the 23rd of March (info here), and we’d recommend getting along to the show – it might be on of the last times you can catch him in an intimate setting.
