Where do clothes go when they die?

We all know that feeling when a treasured item of clothing that was once lost comes back into our lives. It’s kinda like finding a $5 note in the pocket of some jeans you haven’t worn for ages – it was always yours, but you’re still stoked to have it back. Well, that’s what garage-rockers Pandamic are exploring in their latest single ‘Sweater’, which is about a certain much-loved item of clothing… or could it be a metaphor?

“The song ‘Sweater’ originally came about as I have a sweater that I’ve lost and found continuously over the many years that I’ve owned it. One day I thought I’d lost it for good and started writing the chorus hook about it while hoping it would come back (which it eventually did).” Guitarist and vocalist Rhys.

Taking inspiration from early 2000’s pop-punk scene, ‘Sweater’ is reminiscent of the bass player vs guitarist vocal stylings of Blink 182, which is not a comparison we make lightly. With infectious melodies, catchy guitar lines, memorable lyrics, Pandamic are more than capable of carrying the Aussies pub-punk torch, and we can only imagine this one will be a ripper live too.
