Get introduced to Jamel with his new clip, ‘Level Up Freestyle.’

Over the past few years, Jamel has been earning his stripes as a member of South-West Sydney rap collective, Freesouls. And while the group recently dropped their Modern Day Slaves EP – which you may have heard on rotation at FBi Radio – emcee Jamel isn’t taking any breaks, launching into his first solo offering here on ‘Level Up Freestyle.’

As the name suggests, there are no catchy hooks here, just three minutes of Jamel’s understated yet assertive flow, as he muses on his peers and dealings with the local music scene. The accompanying video crafted by South of Home Creative sees Jamel rap between clouds of smoke and a Death Row Records poster that makes his influences very clear, with a few sly cameos from his Freesouls brethren.
