After years of riffs, beers and a two ARIA awards, Violent Soho are calling it a day.
In an interview with the South Western Times, guitarist James Tidswell says that the band will soon be hitting an indefinite hiatus, after performing at the final Groovin The Moo show in Bunbury. “I know it’s going to be big, it will be the best one of the whole tour and it will be so emotional for us because it will be our last time playing indefinitely,” he said.
“There is nothing booked after that, no album, we haven’t demoed any songs, we aren’t touring so that’s it – I 100% guarantee it will be at least a year before we do anything else…It’s been an amazing six years and it’s the end of this whole sort of ride really,” he continued. “We will always be a band and always play, but this is the end of going this hard.”
The Bunbury show will take place on May 13, so if you’d like some feels along with your headbanging, see Violent Soho for one last time.
