Waka Flocka Flame has joined one of the most exclusive of clubs, receiving an honorary doctorate degree in philanthropy and humanitarianism over the weekend. On hand to support him while he received the honour was his wife Tammy Rivera and daughter Charlie, along with a bunch of other friends and family members.
Posting to Instagram to make the announcement, Waka wrote “I got Honorary Doctorate in Philanthropy and Humanitarianism… my work just beginning!!!”
Heaps of fellow rappers and mates of Wakas flooded his timeline with congratulatory messages and such, but the highlight was easily Lil Yachty’s message, who posted a video to his timeline congratulating Waka.
“I think that’s some shit we need to celebrate in the hip-hop community,” Yachty said.
“It’s not a normal thing but it’s an amazing thing,” he continued. “I always wanted to go back to school to get my degree. … That was very inspiring to me as a Black man. So, big congratulations to Waka Flocka for getting his doctorate.”
Some pretty wholesome stuff right here, congrats Waka for the huge achievement.
