Come a long way from the Manly beach vlogs…

Local thrill-seeker Alex Hayes is back and upping the ante with his latest offering, the veteran YouTuber-turned-producer unleashing the visuals for his debut single ‘XI’ into the world.

The clip comes hot off Alex’s move up to the Gold Coast/Yugambeh and the recent announcement of his upcoming residency at Cali Beach Club. It’s a busy as hell time for the full-time creative, but judging by the ‘XI’ clip, he’s taking it all in stride.

Opening with a 2018 narration of Alex stating his intentions to “do everything”, from the jump he’s letting us know that despite everything he’s done so far, he’s still got plenty more in the tank. Of course then comes the pulsating kicks and synths of ‘XI’, the melodic techno groove set to various surrealist clips of the 23-year-old out in nature, chasing endless highs and larger than life experiences.

Naturally, the concoction magnifies the various drops of the tune. Clips of Alex’s various DJ sets and his high-octane stunts contrasting perfectly with the Berlin-infused melodies and tones (2:20 works bloody brilliantly).

Writing on Instagram, Alex explains “I’ve put my heart n soul into this one.. from the ground up. I remember the very first sound sample to start this music project to then gathering some amazing memories over the years captured on video to share the vision that younger me would only dream of.”
