The Avalanches coming through with the goods in our time of need.
It may seem an unlikely pairing: Australian EDM royalty teaming up with US pop-rockers Weezer, but for some reason, the gods have connected them, and we’re bloody loving this slice of electro-pop. True to Avalanches form, the track is a sonic collage with orchestral harmonies, backed up with a solid groove, with Cuomo sprinkling some vocal magic over them.
Directed by Greg Brunkalla, the video sees a big bloke dancing around the streets of LA, with the neon lights and bright colours brought to the forefront. “We love that wide-eyed, elated, almost evangelical Los Angeles sense of possibility…” the Avalanches say in a statement.
