Of course they killed it…

It’s clear NPR is on a roll right now, and they’re straight up smashing it with the slew of guests they’ve had recently. Following up their sampler/ sequencer driven showcase of the ‘Tame Impala Soundsystem’, NPR have definitely come through with a pretty worthy equivalent, linking up with pop-megastar Billie Eilish and her brother FINNEAS for some super beautiful renditions of ‘My Future’ and ‘Everything I Wanted’.

Alternating with each other between the keys, the pair deliver a beautiful acoustic set that makes you feel like you’re right there in the room with them. It’s clear that they’ve got an immense musical connection that’s totally unspoken, and just watching them perform together you can see that connection permeating every vocal, piano chord and guitar lick they indulge in.

“So, obviously, we are not actually at ‘Tiny Desk’ because this is a cardboard cutout of it, but it’s still real,” Eilish said after ‘My Future’. “It’s just not in-person real. I’m honored to be here.” Look, you can’t blame us for falling for that cardboard cut-out, it’s scarily realistic.

“Quarantine has been weird, I know you all feel the same, it’s been weird and we don’t know how long its gonna go. There’s barely anything that feels like there’s any hope in, but I think the future is something to be super hopeful in”, Eilish assured.

“We’ll be okay one day, maybe not right now”, she added. She’s not wrong, and this Tiny Desk is definitely more than okay. Superb even. Check it out below.
