It’s hard to believe that six years ago Billie Eilish sat down with Vanity Fair for her first ‘Same Interview’. Little did Eilish, Vanity Fair or the world imagine however that it would go on to become one of the biggest interview series’ on the internet, amassing hundreds of millions of views each and every year. They’ve become a signpost of sorts for her journey from child star to global pop sensation, and luckily for us, the latest instalment dropped just this morning.

The sixth entry of the series sees Eilish at her most reflective and relaxed yet, with the 20 year old recounting how she’s changed throughout the years and all she’s accomplished along the way. Sporting a black fringe, the ‘Bad Guy’ singer also touches on winning an Academy Award, completing a world tour after COVID and her newly-announced relationship with boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford.

She also gave a teaser as to new music, letting slip that her and frequent collaborator (and brother) FINNEAS have starting writing for her new album, which will no doubt be welcome news for fans who were desperate for more after last year’s Happier Than Ever. The record’s sentiment is also one Eilish echoes throughout the clip’s 20 minute runtime, with the pop sensation taking pains to iterate that she is indeed at her happiest. The clip as a whole definitely puts into perspective just how long she’s been in the spotlight, and makes you wonder where all the time went. Check out the full interview below.
