Call Of Duty has shared a bloody ridiculous live action trailer for the upcoming Season 3 of Warzone, and boy, it features the who’s who of hip hop. Standing at just a little over two minutes, the “Squad Up the World” (which is set to the brilliant ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC) features everyone from Young Thug, Gunna, Saweetie, Jack Harlow and plenty more, all creating their own squads to face off against their enemies.
To say the trailer starts off with a bang would be an understatement, with Young Thug jumping through a window on an ATV before leaping toward a mid-air helicopter (real The Matrix vibes). And of course, Gunna is piloting said helicopter, who says to Thug as he climbs aboard “Slatt,” to which Thug replies “Long time no see, my brother.”
Then, in proper gangster fashion, Thug pulls out a badass automatic and starts spraying bullets at everyone left in the building, before Gunna pulls an Inglourious Basterds pipe moment (an iconic piece of cinema) and finishes them all off in a fucking huge explosion.
But the trailer doesn’t end there, with Harlow flying a helicopter with comedian Druski aboard before deciding to make an emergency exit, then cutting to Saweetie operating a plane and even Swae Lee making a fucking ridiculous leap. The filmmakers manage to fit in some COD footage too, with shots of Call of Duty from their homes interspersed throughout the insane vid. And of course, they finish the trailer by reminding us that Warzone is free for anyone to play on Xbox, Playstation, and PC.
