Spreading the Chrissy cheer…

The iconic love cards scene from Love Actually is absolutely unmistakeable, it’s simple yet powerful concept cementing itself in pop culture with countless parodies time and time again. It’s been done a ridiculous amount, and now Dua Lipa has put her own Chrissy themed spin on it, linking up with late night host Jimmy Fallon for a hilarious parody and cover from the film.

The video showcases Fallon seeing Dua walking down a hallway, prompting him to ask how she’s doing. “I’m good how are you?” she whispers in response, to which Fallon presses her. She then reveals she’s saving her voice for her upcoming SNL performance. Thus, enter the stack of cue cards, through which she asks Fallon if he wants to sing a Chrissy song with her (which kinda goes against the whole saving voice thing but YOLO).

Of course he’s elated, and the pair launch into a rendition of Love Actually‘s ‘Christmas Is All Around,’ a rendition of The Troggs’ original. The video then also morphs into lo-fi footage of the two enjoying some wholesome AF holiday sights.
