Marking the first piece of new music from the favoured duo since their debut album Down To Earth, ‘Arty Boy’ was premiered yesterday afternoon by Triple J, and has now been uploaded online for your listening pleasure. The track sees Flight Facilities connect once more with vocalist Emma Louise, who previously graced their serene single ‘Two Bodies.’ This time around, Louise’s airy vocals are anchored by some bouncy synths, though this still remains a featherweight, shimmering affair.
The accompanying video follows Irani-German couple Shirin & Nasser – friends of Arnold Schwarzenegger – as they take us into their world of retro gyms and muscular people. Seeing that the forever-hyped Flight Facilities managed to sell out The Domain last year with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, we’re inclined to say that this one is going to stay on repeat well into the near future.
