Hudson Mohawke or affectionately know as ‘HudMo’ has been seducing rap-heads and ravers alike with his neon R&B and warehouse smashing low-end beats. Now, as the unlikely poster boy for a new generation of genre-mangling UK artists, his signature bass heavy sound has won him fans over the globe.
Taking a slightly more twisted-pop angle than his last EP ‘Chimes’ in the new single ‘Very First Breath’, the track features French vocalist Irfane.
“Very First Breath was something fresh for me.” Says HudMo. “I’d been touring on the same circuit for a couple of years with Irfane and I had been so busy on TNGHT stuff I was itching to work on more song structured record… The album flows through the passage of the day and in my head, I see this song as the very beginning of the record. The sun just coming up. It was important this was the first track people hear.”
‘Lantern’ is out Friday the June 12 on Warp Records through Inertia.
