As a child, Kurt Cobain was shy, and when he turned teenager, discovered music & art that would later lead him to be an international rock icon. What we can never imagine is the tidal wave of fame that devoured him and the behind-the-scenes emotional struggle.

The Kurt Cobain documentary ‘Montage of Heck’ premieres on May 4th on HBO. Here’s the trailer to the devastating story of Cobain, jam-packed with never-before-seen footage of family photos and videos, following him from the very beginning as a child through to what was a truly devastating end.

Director, Brett Morgen also promises “a mind-blowing 12-minute acoustic Cobain unheard track” on the films soundtrack, and we are to keen to hear it. Meanwhile, watch:
