When two of hip-hop’s great storytellers were gunned down in the 90s, it spawned two of the greatest mysteries to ever enter rap folklore.
Now, a new series is set to explore both events and the subsequent investigations undertaken by law enforcement. Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G. will build off the hype of films like Straight Outta Compton and All Eyez On Me, hitting small screens on February 27 in the United States.
Along with the announcement, the show has revealed another dramatic trailer which includes the many obstacles faced by the investigative teams, including uncooperative witnesses, gang violence and allegations of police corruption. Unsolved is already proving divisive: While some are happy to revisit the tales of the two slain legends, others believe that the legacies of the rappers should simply be left alone, over two decades later.
Whatever the case, Unsolved is sure to ruffle a few feathers when it drops in full come February. Watch the latest trailer below:
