Performing together for the first time since 2018, surviving members of Nirvana – Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic – reconnected yesterday in Los Angeles to perform at The Art of Elysium’s annual “Heaven is Rock and Roll” gala. Delivering a short but sweet five-song set, the group enlisted Beck, St. Vincent’s Annie Clark, and Dave Grohl’s 13-year-old daughter Violet to fill in for Kurt Cobain on vocals.
The group played classics ‘Lithium’, ‘In Bloom’, ‘Been A Son’, ‘Heart-Shaped Box’, and David Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold The World’ which they famously covered in their 1994 MTV Unplugged session. Check out the full concert below:
