Gotta do anything to get that PS5…

After nearly a month off from episodes and creating hilarious content for the world to see, the SNL writers came back in amazing style for the holiday season, quickly getting to work to address the fifty new things that have happened in the world since their hiatus. Of course they’re all over the political news, making countless parodies and skits concerning Trump and co., but it’s safe to say that their Eminem parody helmed by Pete Davidson might just be their greatest one so far.

The skit sees Pete take on the role of “Stu”, a flip on “Stan” from the 2000 Eminem song of the same name that describes a fanatic supporter. However, instead of idolising Em, Stu goes off on Santa Claus in his letter, writing letters to Father Christmas in the hope he’ll get him a new PS5 for the holidays (probably not the only one doing that tbh).

However, there’s a bit of a miscommunication in the North Pole (we’ve all been there) which leads to Santa essentially ghosting Stu, leading to one final letter Stu writes in a fit of rage while driving off a “fifth of eggnog.” As a result, Santa dismisses Stu and instead hilariously gives the PS5 to Em himself, who appears at the end of the skit.

Pretty genius, compare the original and Pete Davidson flip below to see if you can tell the difference.
