Music nerds take note…

Returning to Tiny Desk for an intimate home concert, The Police frontman Sting has jammed out a total masterclass in musicality for what is one of his first performances of 2021. Armed with just an acoustic guitar, the ‘Message In A Bottle’ singer went to town completely uninhibited and unleashed, playing a dynamic performance that varied in tempo, mood and vibe, as Sting again proved that it’s his musical world and we’re just lucky enough to witness it.

Playing a three song setlist consisting off ‘Englishman/African in New York’ ft. Shirazee,’If I Ever Lose My Faith in You’ and ‘Sister Moon’ in support of his new Duet album,, the Police legend reminded us all of why he’s one of the most legendary rockers of all time.

The video also saw the icon open up on the difficulties of isolation, marvelling over the rush he was getting at performing with someone in the same room once again, taking time after  ‘Englishman/African in New York’ to reflect on how he’d been singing completely on his own for the past year, while adding the good thing about music was its ability to “connect.”

But enough of our fangirlng, check the full concert below.
