Quarantine streams and home performances have pretty much become the new norm over the past couple months, with artists from all types of genres taking to their living rooms to jam out a special track or two for all their fans. It’s been really cool to see artists strive to generate as much new content as possible for everyone on lockdown, constantly reminding us all of the beauty of live music.
But none have been keeping the new content coming like Tame Impala, from remixing his 2020 album The Slow Rush to sound like a live concert to releasing singles like ‘Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better’ with The Streets. They’ve been helping a tonne, and now KP has blessed us with a super sick home performance of ‘Is It True’ for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Taking #PlayAtHome to a whole new level, the vid sees three different KPs, each in a different outfit and playing a different instrument. The result is a gorgeous trio of Tame Impalas, as we see the Aussie hero flood his home with mellow psychedelic vibes. The alternating lights are such a sick addition as well, throwing it back to those gorgeous rock vids of the 70s as KP truly makes us feel like we’re watching a live band.
It’s so dope, and is the perfect way to start your Wednesday morning. Check it out for a five minute reminder of the beauty of live music.
