Tame Impala stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday whilst promoting his new album The Slow Rush and boy he lived up to the hype. Performing the nostalgic groove ‘Lost In Yesterday’ and the gorgeous chord driven ‘Breathe Deeper’, Kev gave everyone watching a sneak peak of what to expect when he hits the road in support of the new record.

And we we can’t not mention those crazy visuals, the screen behind him cycling between the colour wheel in perfect synchronisation with the music. No doubt KP, being the absolute genius he is, designed it to be that way on purpose.

We also gotta mention how well the new album translates live, with KP sounding at total ease on the vocal side, whilst being perfectly bolstered by the lush instrumentals. It seems the more psychedelic pop route agrees with Parker, and if his Aussie shows are anything like his performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, its safe to say we’re in for an absolute time and a half when he comes back down under.
