A man of many talents…

In some news you probably weren’t expecting, hip hop & R&B superstar Ty Dolla Sign is an absolute fiend for Nirvana, and no cap, but every Nirvana superfan is gonna pale into comparison to the ‘The Light’ singer’s dedication.

From having a portrait of frontman Kurt Cobain tattooed on his leg to recreating his iconic 2001 Spin Magazine cover, it seems he’s properly obsessed, and honestly, we’re all for it.

Along with the new magazine cover, Ty has dusted off his guitar for a gritty cover of a Nirvana classic, getting his grunge on for ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ on its 30th anniversary. The cover came during what looked like a rehearsal for his band, but all of a sudden they launch into the Nirvana jam with total ease, those signature guitar riffs and overall fierceness enhancing their impromptu jam to another level. Ty also shows off his guitar chops as well, his dreads swaying as he rips a killer solo that we’re 100% sure Kurt would approve of.
