You get some who look bored out of their brains, some who spend the whole time on Instagram live, some who spend the whole time lining up for gozleme, and others who might be so enthusiastic that they take things just a little too far. That’s what happened at last weekend’s Rabbit Eats Lettuce festival near Byron Bay, when Portugese DJ Louie Cut was behind the decks.
During his set, one punter climbs up to the stage to shake Louie’s hand. As he’s climbing back down to the dancefloor, he doesn’t let go of the DJ decks, and the whole thing comes crashing off the stage. Amazingly, the punter wasn’t hurt and it was only a 10 minute hiatus before Louie’s set kept kicking on.
Here’s a word of advice: Next time you wanna give a DJ some props, maybe don’t do it mid-set. Still, Louie calls it “one of the most hectic sets of my career,” so we’re glad that everything worked out in the end. The footage has since accumulated over 2 million views on Facebook – see it all below:
