Continuing his string of dropping animated videos for his countless hits, The Weeknd has dropped an anime-inspired visual for his tune ‘Snowchild’, and it’s definitely a good fit.

The clip shows The Weeknd at various parts in his career, ranging from the House of Balloons days to After Hours. The iconic pineapple-dread look makes a return as well, as the visual depicts each of his distinctive looks throughout his albums. The video ranges from snowy landscapes (which we can assume his his home town of Toronto, judging by the house of balloons he’s living in) to what appears to be a New York/ Japan cityscape, to the Hollywood Hills. There’s even a kick-ass neon fight scene, which throws it back to the glory days of Star Wars, but makes it look much more aesthetic.

Along with the video, the Weeknd announced that he’ll be appearing as a voice actor on the Season 10 finale of Robot Chicken, set to be released on July 25. This isn’t the first time he’s lended his voice to such productions, making an appearance on an episode of American Dad earlier this year. However, his ultimate goal it to show up on The Simpsons, calling a potential guest appearance on the show as part of his “bucket list”.

We have no doubt he’ll make it there very soon, but for now, check out the visual for ‘Snowchild’ below.
