It’s last drinks for the Welcome Sessions.

And you know how that feels. It’s like everyone’s finally hit that nice level of familiarity and the drinks are flowing, right when the clock seems to be moving at a much faster-that-usual pace. But alas, having seen exclusive performances from Jack Garrat, Fontaines D.C., and José González, it’s now time to call curtains on the Jim Beam Welcome Sessions, not before London rockers Wolf Alice finish things off with a delightful sonic bang.

Taking place at North London’s The Chapel, the 19th-century gothic church that has hosted the likes of Amy Winehouse, Noel Gallagher, and Elton John, the band make the most of the amazing acoustics via lead singer Ellie Rowsell’s vocals booming. Performing ‘Lipstick on the Glass’ from their much-revered 2020 album Blue Weekend, the session is extra special for Rowsell who grew up in the area and used to sing at The Chapel as a child in the Islington Community Choir.
