The perfect pre-show appetiser?

Fans of Arctic Monkeys rejoice; on Friday and Saturday this week Sydney’s Golden Age Cinema will be hosting a pop-up store dedicated to the band’s latest album The Car. As reported by Music Feeds, the boutique cinema will be chocked with limited-edition merch, while the cinema will also showcasing the band’s music videos.

Having previously hosted AM pop-ups, it’s hard to imagine a venue that feels more in tune with the new direction of the latest two records from Alex Turner and co. Velvet curtains, art deco stylings and tasty cocktails are all pretty on-brand with the lounge-flavoured vibes of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and 2022’s The Car.

The pop-up is open from 11am to 6pm, Friday and Saturday, with the band performing their last Aus show of the tour on Saturday night at the Domain. So maybe the best route is to hit the pop-up then the show? If you can handle that much swagger in one day, that is.
