Just when you thought you were past your side-fringe and black nails phase, When We Were Young Festival is taking us back to the glory days of emo rock…

And they’ve somehow pulled together the very best of the hallowed genre, bringing together the likes of Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Avril Levigne and numerous more acts for a night of headbanging and mosh pit crying on October 22nd.

The festivities will be taking place at none other than casino-capital Las Vegas this year, with over 20 bands (the one-hit wonders, the long-dormant rock outfits and everything in between) making their way to the emo-gathering. To top it off, My Chemical Romance have signed on to headline, and let’s face it, you can’t get more emo than that.

It seems like the whole lineup is a bit of a piss-take, but rest assured, it’s the real deal. Presale starts this Friday with tickets starting at $19.99 (which seems impossible to believe). Needless to say, if you’re keen on revisiting your “It’s not a phase” phase in 2022, it looks like you’re gonna be ending October in Las Vegas this year.
