Jared Leto has taken to the cover of Empire Magazine to debut the new look of ‘Suicide Squad’ favourite Joker, showing some vast differences from the supervillain last played by the late Heath Ledger.

The trademark green hair, make-up and cane are all here. However, this new Joker seems to have caught onto the ‘sports luxe’ trend, opting for branded sweatpants and interestingly enough, no shoes. Joker’s wardrobe nonchalance is also upped by the fact that he’s wearing no shirt – revealing a huge ‘Joker’ tattoo branded across the stomach – with a purple snakeskin coat (popped collar included) draped over the ensemble.

The heavily-inked, barefoot Joker is dividing die-heard fans – but we’ll have to judge Leto’s performance when ‘Suicide Squad’ hits theatres in August. Meanwhile, have a look below at the Empire cover:
