Skyrocketing local rapper Allday has extended an online invitation to Shannon Noll, hoping that the two parties can connect on a cover of Guy Sebastian’s ‘Angels Brought Me Here’.

Back in 2003, Sebastian edged out Noll to take home the gold medal from Australian Idol – and Allday now states that this is Nollsie’s chance to prove that he should have emerged victorious thirteen years ago. The invitation – which has gained close to 30,000 likes on Facebook – follows a petition asking for Noll to perform at this year’s Groovin’ The Moo festival.

Allday also offered to pay for Noll’s flights from Condoblin, and to prove how serious he is about the offer, he event replicated the singer’s famous Southern Cross press shot. Allday wrote:

Dear Shannon Noll,
I invite you to Melbourne to join me in recording a cover of Guy Sebastian’s song “Angels Brought Me Here” on the 27th of January to prove once and for all that you are the DESERVING winner of Australian Idol 2003.
I will happily pay for your flights from Condoblin.
Yours Sincerely in Music,
Allday

Apparently, Noll has alredy recorded a version of this track for Australian Idol – but only Sebastian’s version was officially released. With an additional verse from Allday, this could really dominate the ARIA charts. Start hitting up Shannon Noll on Twitter for this collaboration right now, and see what happened when we spent a day with Allday right here.
