Queenslanders deserve something special after kicking our asses almost every year at the State of Origin, right? Now, the state that gave us Wendell Sailor and God’s Nectar aka XXXX is getting its own music festival, and oh boy – it’s a Brisbane banger.
A joint collaboration between BBE, OCD and Triple J, FOMO festival lives up to its name in every sense – and is set to stretch out the NYE celebrations well into the next week, bringing internationals like RL Grime, Skepta, Jamie XX and Boys Noize to Riverstage on January 9. Locally, it’s a mix of seasoned favourites like Flight Facilities and Anna Lunoe, and rising stars like Tkay Maidza and UV Boi.
