If there’s ons signifier that summer is well and truly on the way, it’s a 315 metre long street waterslide. Fuck yeah!

Hitting the west end of St George’s Terrace in Perth on December 14th, Slidestreet promises the ride of a lifetime for one day only. Taking the Australian backyard tradition to frighteningly awesome levels, this enormous slide will be accompanied by a bar, food trucks, DJs and more.

While Perth heads have a solid date to get their boardies ready, the company is promising that they’ll be popping up all over Australia in the coming months – we’re crossing our fingers for Sydney’s edition to run all the way down George St. We can only dream.

Tickets for the Perth event go on sale this Friday, and though the City of Perth has approved the sponsorship, it is still subject to council approval.
