Released in the midst of his feud with Meek Mill, ‘Hotline Bling’ was perhaps overshadowed by Drake’s more controversial shots at the MMG rapper – but has since flourished into a club favourite. Its artwork has also seen the biggest resurgence of baby pink since Cam’ron’s ignorant mink coat.
Somewhat surprisingly, Drake has never penned a Number.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts – and says that if ‘Hotline Bling’ takes out the top spot, it “it will be the biggest moment of my career to date (in my mind) and if you are looking for me on that particular evening I will be passed out in the water slide that connects to our pool.”
