Eddie Huang and I share a lot in common. We’re both Asian guys who like rap music, eating food, and that’s about it.
Still, he possesses many more talents than both you and I: He’s a chef, comedian and author, and today he dropped the trailer for his new series Huang’s World. I was fortunate enough to interview Eddie on his Australian visit back in 2012 and have some snacks at his NYC eatery Baohaus last month, and now I can rekindle all those fond memories with this new series via VICELAND on YouTube.
You might remember Eddie from his previous VICE series Fresh Off The Boat, where he ate chicken wings with adult star Jada Stevens and sang in a Taiwanese metal band. Talk about living the dream! It’s the same formula here for Huang’s World, where he travels the world and explores different cultures through the lens of local food and cuisine, with plenty of comedy and outrageous outfits thrown into the mix.
