Homegrown star Flume recently returned to our shores for Laneway Festival, giving us a little taste of his upcoming album Skin – and the fact that single ‘Never Be Like You’ has topped the ARIA charts should tell you that the hype is real.

With the producer also making an appearance at yesterday’s ‘Keep Sydney Open’ rally, today we’ve received more Flume news from an unlikely source: British pop phenomenon Lily Allen. Taking to Twitter, Allen revealed an album cover parodying Kanye West’s recent effort The Life of Pablo. Changing the slogan to The Wife of Pablo, this all sounds like a bit of humorous online banter – except that Allen actually named her last album Sheezus, a nod to West’s Yeezus.

More interestingly, Allen’s Tweet included the tagging of several producers including Flume, suggesting that the two have collaborated in some capacity. Flume’s in some fine company, with the likes of Mark Ronson and Kaytranada also mentioned in the Tweet.

Whether Allen is actually releasing an album called The Wife of Pablo remains to be seen, although a potential Flume collaboration has us most excited. While Flume has previously teamed up with OGs including Freddie Gibbs and Ghostface Killah, a track with Allen might mark his biggest international collaboration yet. Moreover, it may serve as an exploration into the pop realm – one that we’re confident he’ll be able to tackle with class.
