It’s been a minute since we’ve had some new King Krule, but Archy Marshall is back with a new single and album announcement. The four-minute track released today, called ‘Seaforth’, was taken from his upcoming album, Space Heavy, due out on June 6.
Almost a decade since his debut album, 6 Feet Beneath The Moon, the upcoming 15-track project will be his fourth full-length release. Space Heavy promises to be a journey through “the space between” two places Marshall holds dear: London and Liverpool. The theme of the album emerged during its writing process as he commuted between these two cities, becoming “fascinated by the notion of the space between.”
Produced by Dilip Harris and made alongside his long-time bandmates, ‘Seaforth’ returns with his signature warped and drawling sound. The single is accompanied by a Jocelyn Anquetil-directed video, which plays on these themes of place and transience, with a particular focus on dogs (words can’t describe, you just have to see it).
