Many people have described the lockout laws as ‘draconian’ – we prefer other adjectives like ‘dogshit’ and ‘extremely inconvenient when trying to shred the dancefloor to Mariah Carey bangers at 3:20am’. Now, in the face of even further proposed regulations for venues, Kings Cross will host IGNITE: Heat the Street on November 23.
The daytime festival is set to take over The World Bar, Kit & Kaboodle, Goldfish, Kings Cross Hotel and a handful of other venues, highlighting those which provide job opportunities for aspiring local musicians. There are 40 acts scheduled for the day, including KLP, M-Phazes, The Potbelleez & more.
The best part? It’s absolutely free. Get down there and show Kings Cross some lovin’. More details here.
