We’re currently searching far and wide for any clues as to when Flume’s going to unleash his sophomore album Skin, but it seems like everything’s slowly but surely falling into place – and this latest BBC Radio 1 performance has given us more insight into the project.

Having recently left the country for London, Flume has just jumped in for an interview and performance with Annie Mac where he performed current single ‘Never Be Like You’ with Kai. While that track has been on heavy rotation since it was released in January, it’s the next track that should really get people talking: The first radio performance of a new Skin song that Laneway Festival punters might have heard last month.

The track is currently untitled, but features all of Flume’s synth-heavy signatures along with unsettling, off-kilter percussion and female vocals. It certainly doesn’t have the pop prowess of ‘Never Be Like You’, but is certainly evidence of Flume exploring more unconventional sounds on his latest album. It sounds like Skin will be a boundary-pushing listen for many of Flume’s fans – have a listen to the untitled song below.

The miniature performance also rounded up with a cover of Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara’s ‘Here’ with Kucka, which has also been uploaded to YouTube for your convenience:
