After curating and presenting stages at Splendour In The Grass and Laneway Festival, our pals at Red Bull have proven themselves to be at the forefront of underground, forward-thinking music. And yes, they’re doing it all again at Listen Out.
We’re bummed that YG pulled out from the national tour – but can we get three cheers for Shlohmo? How about Flume & Chet Faker? And no, we haven’t forgotten about the local legend Tkay Maidza. In addition to the main lineup, The Red Bull Crate Diggers Stage gets artists to play specific genres from different eras, and yes, it’s loads of fun. Paying homage to the art of ‘crate digging’ employed by DJs of yesteryear (respect to the Diggin’ In The Crates crew), this is a concept that thrives of eclecticism and diversity.
