Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller has postponed his upcoming Australian tour, which was set to commence with a performance at Perth festival Origin NYE just over a week away.

Citing exhaustion after playing 70 shows in 90 days, Mac Miller insists that this isn’t a cancellation but rather rest time to allow his body to recuperate. Following Origin NYE, Mac Miller was locked in for three headline shows along the East Coast, in support of his critically acclaimed major label debut GO:OD AM.

“After over 90 days on the road…I have to cancel New Zealand and Australia. I am so sorry to all my fans out there. My voice is gone… My body is exhausted, and I can not guarantee you guys an 100 percent performance. I don’t want to give you anything less than my best.I need to rest and get myself healthy. I am not cancelling, but postponing, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be back soon. I haven’t cancelled anything in 5 years, but I found out I was human. Fuck. I thought I was a super hero…I’m not giving up on that theory,” he wrote on Twitter.

You can see his original dates below as well as a statement from Origin NYE. Promoters Frontier Touring state that rescheduled dates will follow in the new year, although refunds are available now from the point of purchase.
