Right in time for summer, you can now protect your ever-important eyeballs with Oakley’s new ‘Latch’ range, crafted expertly in collaboration with a handful of skateboarding icons and deadset legends.

Oakley asked young guns Sean Malto and Curren Caples, as well as OG Eric Koston and photographer Atiba Jefferson for their input in the range. From the classic round design to diverse colour scheme on the frame and lens, they were involved in all aspects in the birth of these beauties. What results is just a good-lookin’ pair of sunnies, right?

WRONG, IDIOTS. The ‘Latch’ range has that particular name for a reason – it has an in-built latch mechanism that allows you to clasp your sunglasses safely to your shirt. The future is now, people. Next time you’re running for the bus or running from the police, you can ensure that your sunglasses will be safely hugging your shirt.

If you happen to be shirtless – which might happen a lot this summer – you can also attach them to your shorts like a certified bad man. Watch the glasses in action below, thanks to this handy GIF:
