Here, we’ve listed six songs that we would really, really love to see at FOMO in January. Have a geez below and keep your fingers crossed that we’ll be blessed by these bangers in just under a fortnight. Tickets are on final release, so grab yours right here.

Germany has produced plenty of notable things: Rambunctious Oktoberfest celebrations, technologically-advanced automobiles and mouth-watering schnitzels. Sitting somewhere in the Top 10 is none other than Boys Noize, the tech lord who’s become an Australian festival veteran over the past few years. Cool story: His hefty remix portfolio includes Deutschland headbangers Rammstein. Returning for FOMO, we’re hoping to dive into a spiral of clubbing nostalgia with his 2010 belter ‘Yeah’. Try listening to this track and not smiling. You can’t. This is what fun sounds like. Boys Noize will also be hitting an aquatic gig on The Island with Sydney dance legends and generally good humans Wordlife on January 7, get involved here.

There’s nothing that gets the adrenaline pumping like watching two hours of UFC and headbutting a door. A much safer and more viable option is listening to RL Grime. I haven’t been to a gym in about nine years, but when I do finally partake in some physical activity, I’ll be sure to throw one of RL Grime’s infamous Halloween mixes on my walkman – a spooky collection of nocturnal bangers that have earned a cult following. Back in 2013, RL Grime remixed Chicago drill anthem ‘Love Sosa‘ by Chief Keef – the definitive hip-hop sound of the time – and successfully merged it into the dance realm. In 2015, he takes similar action with the moody R&B found on ‘The Hills’, amplifying it with haunting synths and relentless percussion. This is one that Team XO can get behind.

Australian export Anna Lunoe has been based in Los Angeles for a couple of years now, and her success has been nothing short of inspirational. Releases on OWSLA and Fool’s Gold have been supplemented by tours alongside The Weeknd, Skrillex and ASAP Ferg – and now she’ll be having some homecoming shows to kick off 2016 in style. Oh yeah, did we mention that she met Waka Flocka Flame? Awesome life achievement and we are seething in jealousy. The former Hoops girl crafted one of our favourite 2014 tracks in ‘All Out’ – a carefree, crossover pop anthem that couldn’t be more perfect for the Australian summer. Let’s pray to Jesus that this gets a whirl at FOMO so we can high five ourselves.

2015 has been all about the UK in more ways than one. Music and fashion in particular have been taking heavier cues from the region, and one man responsible for much of that is Skepta. Now, it’s unsurprising to see fans across the world wearing dri-fit and Air Max 95s while tuning into Rinse FM – and while clubs usually focused on American rap have been working ‘Shutdown’ and ‘That’s Not Me’ into their setlists throughout the year, we’re hoping for ‘Are You Ready?’ with grime don and fellow ex-Roll Deep member Wiley. No doubt that this Australian tour will be Skepta’s biggest yet, and footage from his New Zealand show looks extremely promising. Prepare to sweat. Speaking of UK legends, shouts to Craig David.

We’re still patiently waiting for Tkay Maidza’s debut album to drop, and hopefully FOMO sees her preview some brand new material from the forthcoming full-length – but until then, we have ‘Ghost’ to hold us over in captivating fashion. The super kawaii Adelaide emcee enlists an all-star cast for this one, marking her biggest collaboration yet with bass lords Baauer and What So Not, as well as Future Classic star George Maple. Showing her ability to deliver bars and an appreciation for melody, ‘Ghost’ is very promising indeed. Take a trip down memory lane and into Chinatown when we spent one day with Tkay to eat dumplings and play arcade games.

Is this too obvious of a pick? Probably, but we’re a sucker for anything that features Young Thug, and this is definitely his catchiest effort since the incomprehensible mumbo-jumbo that formed Birdman-assisted banger ‘Lifestyle‘. The ultimate summer jam of 2015 – perhaps tied with ‘Lean On’ by Major Lazer – Jamie XX delivers Caribbean flavoured production complimented by Young Thug’s infectious charisma. Sliding in at a 6:15pm timeslot, we can’t wait for a dramatic Brisvegas sunset and a zesty cocktail in hand when this drops. Hopefully I won’t be too busy taking photos of the sky and actually miss this song entirely, but I will survive. Hopefully.
