It’s been about a month since Skepta teased an incoming Australian tour, and now the first date for his visit Down Under has been announced.

A Facebook event created by local promoters BBE bills the Grime veteran for a show at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on January 8. No other shows have been announced yet, but we’re expecting some more headline dates along the East Coast and some other surprises, too.

Given that the movement behind ‘Shutdown’ is really starting to gain momentum, this is going to be one hell of a way to kick off 2016 – especially with Skepta’s album Konnichiwa set to be released sometime this year.
