Friday, 13 November

Towradgi Beach Hotel (Beer Garden)
170 Pioneer Rd, Towradgi
8.30pm

Woolongong-Gallery2_28

We’ve had plenty of great memories down in Wollongong. I even managed to spot Wendell Sailor there from a distance, and it was the greatest experience of my life thus far. Just a few kilometres north of the Gong, you’ll find Towradgi Beach Hotel. This venue is fun for the whole family – If you’re lucky enough to be over 18 years old, sink a few brews and chow down on slices from the Pizza Cafe. If you’re lucky enough still be a child without the burdens of adulthood, there’s a playground with a colourful slide and you also get to eat for free on Sundays. Fuck yeah, free food! Aside from The Preatures’ live show this Friday, they’ll also be hosting Unwritten Law (!!!) and a Green Day cover band. Amazing. Shouts to Scott Russo.

Saturday, 14 November

Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel
1 Military Rd, Watsons Bay
3.30pm

??????????

Hidden in an opulent corner of the Eastern Suburbs, Watsons Bay houses Sydney’s elite and mansions of Puff Daddy proportions. It’s also home to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, one of the city’s favourite seaside watering holes with stellar views. After a major facelift back in 2013, the hotel relaunched with brilliant outdoor seating area and a menu that offers everything from delicate seafood to hearty pub favourites. Plus, all day breakfast! Here, you’ll find a sense of serenity that’s lost in many of Sydney’s other beaches, and you’ll also rub shoulders with some more refined punters. Grab yourself a cocktail, you deserve it.

Manly Wharf Hotel
E Esplanade, Manly
7.30pm

People who live on the #Southside often have weird feelings about the #Northside. As soon as you have to cross the Harbour Bridge to get somewhere, it seems like you may as well be traveling to another continent. Do I need to bring my passport? In reality, Manly Wharf Hotel is just a short ferry ride from Circular Quay, and is one of the few times that you’ll actually enjoy being on public transport. Stand on the ferry deck, take in the breeze and recreate that scene from Titanic. When you disembark, find yourself at Manly Wharf Bar within 30 seconds and take in all the goodness: Contemporary interiors, the outdoor area dressed in wooden planks, and a diverse crowd.

Sunday, 15 November

The Bucket List
Bondi Pavilion, Queen Elizabeth Dr, Bondi
2.30pm

Screen Shot 2015-11-12 at 5.10.23 PM

The Bucket List sits a heartbeat away from the world famous sands of Bondi Beach, and is usually the first pit-stop for a cold brew after a hard day of tanning and lying around doing nothing. One time, I came here for an #IndustryEvent and they were making a giant pan of paella, so The Bucket List will always have a special place in my heart. Nothing screams summer more than a large bucket of prawns, so buy one before plonking your ass on a couch and taking in that prized 2026 air. Also, The Bucket List is dog-friendly so you don’t have to hide the Chihuahua in your missus’ handbag.

Mona Vale Hotel
2 Park St, Mona Vale
7.30pm

Mona Vale Hotel is a longtime staple for punters on the Northern Beaches, and while it’s a nice venue for a relaxed catch-up brew with your pals, it can also turn up to 11 – especially when it gets ultra heated on Thursday nights, kicking right through to the weekend. Rooftop parties pop off during the summer, while two dancefloors supply you with ample space to perform your ‘Hotline Bling’ interpretive dance. A dedication to live music is also a huge plus. The beer garden houses cruisy coastal vibes with an Asian twist – Salute to Asian people, because I am one.
