Watch Alaska Young’s First Track ‘El Loco Divino’

Alaska Young’s debut track feels like it should soundtrack a solo psychedelic trip where you converse with friendly and possibly fluffy extra-terrestrial creatures. It’s the sort of music that’s hard to put into words, and while it might evoke images of a vast, post-apocalyptic plain, Young was born and raised right here in Australia.

Having debuted ‘El Loco Divino’ last month on i-D, it’s only now that we’re catching onto the artist – a nomad who lives in his car named Lucy. No, we’re not making this up. The video was filmed in the Himalayan desert, where Young runs around the desert wearing an all-white tracksuit, which he later trades in for his birthday suit.

The plot seems pretty open to interpretation, but it will make you feel lost and isolated on the path to self-discovery. Something like that. This is bizarre but still manages to get your head nodding along by the halfway point – have a watch below and zone out:
