We’re still recovering from Danny Brown’s smoke-filled performance at Splendour In The Grass, but the rumour mill is already alive and kicking regarding his return to Australia. He was recently added to the lineup for New Zealand festival Rhythm & Vines over the NYE period – and if history has taught us anything, a bunch of these acts will also cross the Tasman to our shores. Fingers crossed for Danny Brown to perform sometime over the NYE transition!
To get us in the mood for the Fool’s Gold emcee, here’s a five-minute freestyle he’s dropped on BBC Radio 1 – where he goes in over instrumentals from Earl Sweatshirt, Drake & Wiley. Proving that he can spit over both rap and grime beats, Brown bombards us with his trademark nasal delivery and erratic cackle. This guy is a fucking weirdo, and we love it.
