Volleys: More Australian than Shannon Noll and Iced VoVos combined.

If you grew up Down Under, then it’s more than likely that you’ve been through several pairs of Volleys throughout your lifetime. Hell, I even wore an all black pair as school shoes back in Year 9, and the Volley’s timelessness means that they’re still as versatile as ever in 2015.

As it was first blessed with a unique ‘herringbone’ grip back in 1939, the Volley was initially intended for tennis purposes. Since then, its entered mainstream fashion as a handy everyday pair that’s suitable for almost all occasions, while also finding a home in surf subcultures. In honor of Volley’s Grass Roots campaign, we headed to Byron Bay to shoot the shoes back in their initial home on the green – with a little contemporary twist.

We don’t need to be asked twice to head up to Byron Bay, and this time we were joined by a big bunch of babes and studs – Matt Tully, Bee Cooper, Nina Hill, Mitch Gobel and Darcy Dineen – all of whom are leaving their mark on the online sphere as creatives and young dreamers.

See the images above, while you can grab a pair now online or at your local General Pants store. Boom!
